SUNDERLAND and Newcastle United will find out who their Third Round FA Cup opponents will be when the draw is made tonight.

A total of 64 teams are in the draw for the next round with Premier League and Championship teams entering at this stage of the competition.

Eight non-league sides have made it through to the Third Round including Blyth Spartans - who beat Hartlepool United 2-1 on Friday night - and Conference side Gateshead who beat Warrington Town on Sunday.

Gus Poyet’s Sunderland are ball number 37 while Alan Pardew’s Newcastle are number 28 going into tonight’s draw.

Aitor Karanaka’s Middlesbrough have been given ball number 26.

One of the lowest ranked sides left in the competition Spartans, who play in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, are number 52 and will be hoping for another plumb tie after the North East Derby with Pools.

Gary Mills’ Heed have been handed ball number 55.

The FA Cup third round draw will be made tonight in Hull from 7pm live and it will be screened live on BBC Two.
