SUNDERLAND have today been linked with a move for former Newcastle United target Bafetimbi Gomis.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer after failing to agree a new deal with Lyon.

And the Daily Mail reports that Gomis has flew into London today as Premier League trio West Ham, Sunderland and Swansea’s interest grows in the France striker, 28.

Newcastle were linked heavily with the player last summer, but couldn’t agree a deal.

Another player linked with the Magpies this month is Andros Townsend, but the Daily Express today reports the Tottenham winger – and team-mate Michael Dawson – are targets of QPR boss Harry Redknapp, who used to manage the pair at Spurs.
