HATEM Ben Arfa is out of Newcastle United’s Christmas and New Year fixtures.
The influential forward is facing up to a month on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
Ben Arfa – who missed Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City – is pencilled in to return in January.
United manager Alan Pardew said: “There’s a danger he could tear that (hamstring), and if he did that, he’d be out for two or three months.
“If we do it the right way and be sensible about it, it may only be three weeks.”
Ben Arfa will miss Saturday’s home game against Queens Park Rangers, and the away festive fixtures against Manchester United and Arsenal.
