FRASER Forster is wanted by Championship club Hull City.
Former Newcastle United assistant manager Nigel Pearson is keen to take the goalkeeper to the KC Stadium on loan next season.
Forster, however, is keen to challenge to for a place between the posts at St James’s Park next season.
And United manager Alan Pardew has repeatedly insisted he will assess Forster, Steve Harper and Tim Krul – who played for Holland against Uruguay last night – in pre-season before making any decision.
Forster impressed playing on a year-long loan at Celtic last season, as he had at Norwich City the campaign before that, and the 24-year-old is reluctant to go from playing week in, week out to bench duty.
Pardew is unwilling to give any guarantees until he sees the trio in action next month.
Harper was Pardew’s first-choice last season, but he suffered two injuries which allowed Krul to play 24 Premier League games.
