THE transfer window is hotting up – with a former Newcastle United striker’s future up in the air.

With a week to go until the window closes, more players are being linked with moves to the Premier League this morning.

One player being mooted to be on his way from these shores, however, is Demba Ba.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, but the Daily Star reports that the president of Trabzonspor says a deal to take the 28-year-old to the Turkish club has been halted since his team-mate Fernando Torres suffered injury.

Elsewhere, the Daily Express says Liverpool could turn to Spartak Moscow’s Brazilian midfielder Romulo, 23, who has also been scouted by Arsenal and Chelsea, after learning that Lucas Leiva could miss up to two months with a knee injury.
