ARSENAL are believed to be readying a swoop for Demba Ba as they look to keep their title bid on track.

The Gunners lost 1-0 to Manchester United yesterday, but still lead the Premier League table.

And the Daily Star today reports that Arsenal are considering a £15m bid for Chelsea striker Ba, 28, in the January transfer window as manager Arsene Wenger searches for cover for 27-year-old forward Olivier Giroud.

Ba has slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since leaving Newcastle last January.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have joined the chase to sign Fulham’s emerging French striker Moussa Dembele, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 17-year-old, who was signed from Paris St-Germain, is also a target for Manchester United.
