THE future of former Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster is still in doubt, while Manchester United have stepped up their bid for midfield reinforcements.
Forster has impressed at Celtic since his £2m move from Newcastle, but is believed to want a move to further his England ambitions.
But Celtic striker Amido Balde, 22, has told goalkeeper the 25-year-old, who was linked with Sunderland this summer, to turn down any move to Benfica, according to the Times today.
Having lost out on Cesc Fabregas, Manchester United are considering a bid for Real Madrid’s 24-year-old midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to the Daily Mirror.
Germany international Mesut Ozil joined Real Madrid in 2010 from Werder Bremen for £12.4m
