THE future of Juan Mata makes the headlines in the newspapers today.

The Spaniard is out of favour at Chelsea since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

And the Metro reports that Valencia are lining up a move to re-sign the player from Chelsea during the January transfer window, while Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old midfielder’s situation.

Mata has been Chelsea’s player of the year two seasons in a row but is out of the team

Elsewhere, the Daily Express reports that Liverpool sent scouts to watch 18-year-old former Barcelona winger Keita Balde Diao in action for Lazio against Legia Warsaw last week.

And also in the Express, Arsenal and Manchester City are expected to bid for French defender Adil Rami, 27, after he was transfer listed by Valencia following his public criticism of under-pressure coach Miroslav Djukic.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea target, Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, has denied saying he will definitely join Bayern Munich next year.

The 25-year-old can sign a pre-contract in January to complete a free transfer switch in the summer.
