Loic Remy not is squad to face Liverpool for Newcastle Utd

LOIC Remy has kicked his last ball for Newcastle United.

The on-loan forward is not in the starting XI, or among the substitutes, at Anfield for this afternoon’s final Premier League game against Liverpool (3pm kick-off).

Remy, on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers, is hoping to make France’s World Cup squad.

Defenders Steven Taylor and Massadio Haidara also come into United manager Alan Pardew’s team.

Paul Dummett drops down to the bench for ninth-placed Newcastle.

League leaders Man City, two points ahead of Liverpool, only need a point to confirm the title because of their superior goal difference.

Former Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson returns from suspension for the home side.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers backed Pardew, a close friend, in his programme notes.
