YOHAN Cabaye’s already taken midfield colleague Gael Bigirimana under his wing at Newcastle United.
And the teenager, grateful for the advice he’s already been given by the France international, is confident he’s at the right place to learn.
The 18-year-old, signed from Coventry City last month, has already impressed this season, and he was set for another run-out against Hartlepool United tonight (kick off 7.30pm).
“I’m improving every day training alongside (Cheik) Tiote and Cabaye,” Bigirimana said.
“Yohan has already helped me and given me advice. He’s encouraging me and telling me to improve my game.
“That just shows I’m at the right place with good people around me. I’m really grateful for that.
“The manager says he’ll give everyone a chance.
“If you impress him, and really work hard, he doesn’t care how old you are.
“You’ll play if you’re ready.
“Myself and all the boys should just work hard and concentrate.”
