NEWCASTLE United have had a bid accepted for Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, according to reports in France.
The relegation-threatened club are said to have tabled a £6.7million offer for the Montpellier defender.
United manager Alan Pardew wouldn’t comment on the speculation after this afternoon’s 2-1 home defeat to Reading.
Arsenal have previously been linked with a move for Yanga-Mbiwa.
Yanga-Mbiwa, capped three times by France, is an international colleague of United’s Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy.
