PETER Lovenkrands hopes to build on his derby return to the Newcastle United team – and fulfil his aim of reaching a century of goals.

The striker has been stranded on 99 career goals since finding the net against Blackburn Rovers in October last year and he admits he would “love” to reach 100 as soon as possible.

He said: “I’d love to get another goal so I can reach my 100th one. I’m on 99 so I’m just one away, but if I’m to have any chance then I need to be on the pitch to have an opportunity to score it.

“Since I got those goals earlier in the season I have been stuck on 99 so it’s been a bit frustrating.”
