TIM Krul has the chance he’s been waiting for at Newcastle United – and the goalkeeper’s determined to seize it with both hands.
Krul is expected to keep his place for Saturday’s game against Birmingham City at St James’s Park.
The 23-year-old has kept goal for Newcastle’s last three games, having earned a recall when No1 Steve Harper was sidelined with a niggling knee problem.
Harper is now fit, but manager Alan Pardew has hinted Krul will keep goal as he assesses his goalkeeping options ahead of next season, when he will also have Fraser Forster back at the club.
