NEWCASTLE United are yet to formalise their squad for the club’s visit to New Zealand – despite reports that a list of players had been submitted for the Football United Tour 2014.
The absence of Moussa Sissoko’s name from the list circulated by the country’s media was a talking point back on Tyneside yesterday.
But the Gazette understands that Newcastle are yet to formalise a travelling party for the tournament, which will see United play Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix next month.
The final squad will depend on the incomings and outgoings over the coming weeks – and how the fortunes of the club’s four World Cup players.
