ALAN Pardew hailed Tim Krul for his heroics in goal – but he’s hoping he isn’t as busy against Tottenham Hotspur.
Krul was outstanding between the posts in Newcastle United’s 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday.
The result saw Pardew’s unbeaten side end the weekend fourth in the Premier League.
And the club face their toughest game of the season a week on Saturday when Spurs visit St James’s Park.
However, Pardew is hoping Krul – who praised the defence in front of him after the game at Molineux – has a quieter afternoon when Harry Redknapp’s team visit Tyneside.
“Tim was the best player by some distance,” Pardew told SportMail.
“We don’t want that, because it means we’re not controlling the game.
“When we need him, and it will happen, he’ll come to the fore. He was magnificent.”
