NEWCASTLE United boss Alan Pardew says it his ‘duty’ to find solutions to his side’s poor form as he faced the press ahead of the trip to Swansea on Saturday.
Pardew is fighting to save his job after a series of bad results saw the Magpies slump into the relegation zone at the bottom of the Premier League table.
But Pardew says he remains focussed on the job despite claumour from fans for him to be replaced.
“We are trying to help the team and find a solution to get the team playing to its quality,” he said. “We are very focussed on Saturday.
“Our fans want to see us play a brand of football that we can’t quite put together right now. We’re trying to do it and have quality.
“It is about fighting and digging in at the moment as a team, and if we do that then something will fall our way.
“It’s my duty and job to come up with solutions when things aren’t working, so whether we make changes we’ll have to wait and see.”
