LAURENT Blanc has again spoken of his admiration for Yohan Cabaye in a move that will anger Newcastle United.
The Paris Saint-Germain manager is keen to sign the £20m-rated midfielder – but the club is yet to table a bid.
Blanc was rebuked by Alan Pardew, his United counterpart, for his public courtship of 27-year-old Cabaye last month.
But that hasn’t stopped him again commenting on Cabaye’s situation.
“He’s a very good player,” Blanc told Le Parisien. “I haven’t changed my opinion (about Cabaye).
“For the moment, he’s at Newcastle. I also read that Tottenham are interested in him. Newcastle, Tottenham, or Paris – I hope that he’ll still be at a big club in September.”
Manchester United – who have conceded defeat in their efforts to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona – have also been credited with an interest in him, as have AS Monaco.
Blanc left the door open to one more signing at PSG this summer.
“It’s possible that we might take one extra player,” added Blanc, who coached Cabaye while in charge of France.
