THE Premier League are to ask Newcastle United for their observations after the match against Leicester City was delayed over concerns about a loose TV screen.

Fans were kept out of St James’s Park while the club’s new 60m TV screen was fixed on Saturday afternoon, the game eventually kicking off at 4pm.

Newcastle issued an apology to all those affected after part of the screen, installed during the international break, had come loose.

It is standard procedure for the Premier League to ask club’s for their observations after delayed kick-offs.

Alan Pardew’s side won the match 1-0 thanks to a Gabriel Obertan goal.
