Real Madrid won’t sell Ronaldo to Manchester United, Liverpool look at Palermo midfielder and Newcastle could lose out on Remy

LIVERPOOL are back in the transfer headlines today as they are linked with a Slovenian midfielder – while Newcastle’s hopes of signing Loic Remy could be scuppered.

The Daily Star reports today that West Ham are hopeful of agreeing a deal with QPR to sign striker Loic Remy.

The 26-year-old is one of a handful of strikers Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is interested in, having admitted he is on a shortlist along with Darren Bent and Bafetimbi Gomis.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express says Liverpool are considering a £10m bid for Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic.

The 25-year-old, however, could be on his way to Fiorentina.

Elsewhere, the Sun reports that Real Madrid have warned Manchester United off Cristiano Ronaldo, with president Florentino Perez insisting the 28-year-old forward will sign a new deal to end his career at the Bernabeu.
