FORMER Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye’s World Cup dream is in the balance – after he was stretchered off in agony.

Cabaye suffered an ankle injury in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-1 Ligue 1 win over his former club Lille tonight.

Marvin Martin was sent off for his poorly-timed challenge on the midfielder, who left Newcastle for PSG in January.

France coach Didier Deschamps will name his provisional 30-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil on Tuesday.

United trio Loic Remy, Mathieu Debuchy and Moussa Sissoko are expected to be named in the preliminary squad.
