Moussa Sissoko to start in Newcastle United v Aston Villa six-pointer

SEVENTH HEAVEN: Moussa Sissoko will start for Newcastle at Aston Villa

SEVENTH HEAVEN: Moussa Sissoko will start for Newcastle at Aston Villa

MOUSSA Sissoko will be pitched into Newcastle United’s relegation battle at Villa Park.

All five of the club’s French transfer-window signings are in Alan Pardew squad for tonight’s game against Aston Villa.

And Pardew has confirmed that Sissoko, signed from Toulouse late last week, will be handed a start.

Promising left-back Massadio Haidara has travelled to the Midlands with his new team-mates, but the 20-year-old won’t be involved in the match-day squad for the Premier League six-pointer.

“Massadio definitely won’t be involved,” said boss Pardew.

“The other four are in contention. Moussa will definitely play.

“It’s about getting the balance right in the team, and it’s about getting them comfortable.”

Pardew – whose 16th-placed side are one point above Villa – also confirmed that Sissoko is likely to be the last arrival in this month’s transfer window.

“It’s never over until it’s over, but that’s probably us done.”

Sissoko is a powerful box-to=box midfielder who, with Cheik Tiote away at the Africa Cup of Nations will be a key player in the middle of the park for United.
