STEVEN Taylor could be loaned out by Newcastle United, according to his agent.
The 27-year-old defender has played just 45 minutes of football this season.
Taylor, dismissed in the club’s opening game against Manchester City, has been fully fit for several weeks after recovering from a hamstring injury.
And Willie McKay, Taylor’s representative, has suggested a spell on loan is an option.
“Steven’s now fully fit, but he’s frustrated not to be playing as that’s what he loves doing,” McKay told Sky Sports.
“He’s not been involved for the last six games, and of course it’s frustrating.
“Steven fully understands that the team have been on a good winning run, and the manager does not want to change a winning team.
“(United director of football) Joe Kinnear has promised Steven a new deal in January, and he could be made available for loan if he is not going to be playing.”
Taylor had a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers early in his career.
