SUNDERLAND target Fabio Borini has been included on Liverpool’s pre-season trip to the USA.
The Black Cats agreed a £14million fee with Liverpool on Friday for Borini after months of talks over signing last season’s loanee on a permanent basis.
But Sunderland now face a wait to begin discussing personal terms with Borini after he flew to America today with the rest of the Liverpool squad.
Borini’s inclusion should not be taken as a sign that the deal is off though.
The Echo understands that there is NO substance to reports emerging from Italy on Saturday night that Borini had “rejected” Sunderland’s advances.
And it was always Liverpool’s plan to take Borini to the US, despite agreeing to his potential departure.
