FULHAM signing Kieran Richardson followed Ahmed Elmohamady out of the Sunderland exit door.

The Egyptian agreed a season-long loan with Hull City on Thursday.

But despite loan interest in Titus Bramble, Connor Wickham and Fraizer Campbell, Sunderland did not sanction any further temporary departures yesterday.

O’Neill could still allow players to leave when the emergency loan window for Football League clubs opens next Saturday, with midfielder David Meyler known to still be on the radar of former Sunderland boss Bruce at Hull City.

The Sunderland manager is likely to more receptive to emergency loans, which include a recall clause after 28 days.

Meanwhile, former Sunderland loanee Nicklas Bendtner has joined Juventus on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move.

Bendtner has no future at parent club Arsenal and has now been allowed on loan for the second successive year.
