FORMER Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is helping Championship strugglers Fulham find their next manager.
The Cottagers lie second bottom of the Championship after toiling since their relegation from the Premier League last May, with manager Felix Magath paying the price when he was sacked last month.
Owner Shahid Khan has formed a five-man committee to help select a new manager, with Quinn - along with ex-Fulham players Danny Murphy and Brian McBride - involved.
Quinn said: “They recognised that I helped to do something right up at Sunderland some years ago.
“They are looking for some outside help alongside four other Fulham stalwarts to form the criteria and form the best list possible to come up with the right man for the job at Fulham. It is very important.”
