STEVEN Fletcher is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a shoulder injury.

The Scotland international was forced off at the Hawthorns last weekend after landing awkwardly following a second half volley.

Although the injury is not as bad as first feared, Fletcher is still facing a four to six spell on the treatment table after only just returning from the ankle problem which saw him miss the final two months of last season.

Meanwhile, Sunderland skipper John O’Shea should be fit for Sunday’s visit of Liverpool after coming off as a precaution in Tuesday’s Capital One Cup win over Peterborough with a niggle.
