ADAM Johnson returned to Sunderland’s Premier League starting line-up for today’s trip to QPR.
The former Manchester City winger, who missed last week’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United due to illness, replaced Will Buckley, despite the summer signing’s impressive debut display against Louis van Gaal’s side.
Johnson played, and scored, against Birmingham City in the midweek Capital One Cup second round tie.
