PAOLO Di Canio is talking about a revolution at Sunderland.
The Italian head coach has allowed it to become increasingly clear that he plans sweeping changes at SAFC.
It will include changes on the scouting, coaching and playing side and Sunderland fans can expect to see plenty of comings and goings in the Black Cats squad this summer.
But Di Canio says one of the biggest changes he and his staff will be making will be to the attitude and professional pride of the players themselves.
“We have to change things and we will change them soon because it is obvious we have to change the mentality inside the club,” he told SportMail.
“This is only the beginning for us.
“The revolution starts from now, because now that we are safe we can begin to focus on every single aspect of the club and of the players.
“Before, because of the situation, we just had to concentrate on the key things, which was getting the most out of the squad for every game and preparing the squad for every game.
“That had to take priority because it was all about getting the points to get us safe in a very difficult situation.
“But now we are looking at the longer term.
“And I promise you this – my team will have an identity about it.”
