LEE CATTERMOLE will make his Sunderland return in a friendly against Darlington tomorrow.

Cattermole was sent off for the sixth time in his Sunderland career at Hull earlier this month after being handed a straight red card for a challenge on former Black Cats winger Ahmed Elmohamady.

The midfielder will serve the final match of his subsequent three-game ban in this weekend’s trip to Stoke City.

But before then, Cattermole will feature for a Sunderland XI against the non-league Quakers tomorrow (kick-off 7.30pm) at Bishop Auckland’s Heritage Park ground.

Cattermole is one of three first-teamers included in the Sunderland squad, alongside summer signings Valentin Roberge and El-Hadji Ba.

Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2 for children.
