SUNDERLAND have been handed a major injury boost with both Emanuele Giaccherini and Ondrej Celustka expected to be fit for Sunday’s clash with Manchester City.

The duo looked unlikely to feature this weekend after limping off in Wednesday night’s Capital One Cup success over Southampton.

But the two internationals came through training unscathed today and are expected to be in contention for the visit of City.

Poyet said: “They’re okay. Everyone who played in the game on Wednesday trained today.

“They’re going to be alright to train tomorrow.”

Keiren Westwood is also fit after being forced off against Hull City last weekend following a heavy collision with Paul McShane.

Deputy Vito Mannone impressed both at Hull and against Southampton and Poyet admits he has a selection dilemma over who starts in goal against City.

Poyet added: “Mannone did well and I’ve got a big decision to make. That’s good for me.

“But that’s what I want – a proper, strong, fair, competitive situation between every single player.

“The goalkeepers are the same so it’s a big decision.”
