KIERAN Richardson’s chances of returning to the fold for Saturday’s FA Cup quarter final have been hit after the Sunderland left-back suffered a relapse in training.
Richardson missed last Saturday’s victory over Liverpool after succumbing to the calf strain sustained in the closing stages of the Tyne-Wear derby six days earlier.
O’Neill told SportMail: “Kieran did a little bit of training on Monday and felt something again.
“We’ll see what he’s like towards the end of the week.”
