SUNDERLAND have finalised a season-long loan for Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.
The Echo reported last night how Ki was heading to Wearside to complete the formalities of his move to the Stadium of Light after the Black Cats cemented their interest in the South Korean international.
And Sunderland have quickly tied up the the details of the 24-year-old’s switch, with the midfielder becoming the club’s 11th signing of the summer.
Ki, who is not eligible for today’s encounter at Crystal Palace, had fallen down the pecking order at Swansea this season, despite arriving just 12 months ago in a £6million move from Celtic.
Swansea have been unwilling to allow Ki to leave on a permanent deal and there is understood to be a January recall clause in the loan.
But Ki finally represents success in Sunderland’s bid to add a creative midfielder to the squad before Monday’s transfer deadline.
