Billingham Stars pit their wits against new League champions Solway Sharks tomorrow ahead of the end-of-season play-offs in a KD Flavell & Sons-sponsored Northern Cup fixture at the Billingham Forum.

The cup format this season means that Billingham face their last two games in the round-robin stage knowing that they cannot now make the final.

Last Sunday’s 5-3 defeat at Sutton put paid to any lingering hopes that the Stars had, leaving the Sting fighting it out with Blackburn Hawks and Sunday’s visitors Solway for the top two places.

Billingham will take on the might of the Sharks missing several key players still side-lined through injury, plus the under-18s have a game in Nottingham which means the coaching team cannot call upon the services of their junior Stars.

Callum Davies will return to bolster the second forward unit, however Michael Bowman faces a late fitness test and may yet be confined to the bench.

Face off at the Billingham Forum is 6.30pm.

Tickets can be bought from the box office from 5.30pm on game night priced at £7.50 adults, £5 concessions, £22 family [2+2].
