Billingham Stars look to retain their lead at the top of the National Ice Hockey League (N) Moralee Conference when they take on Sutton Sting at the Billingham Forum tomorrow evening.

Billingham, two points clear at the top of the table, take on a Sutton side who have disappointed in the early part of this campaign.

Ex-Star player Adam Robinson, returns to the Forum to face his former team-mates for the first time since signing for the Sting.

The Stars will line up on Sunday missing first line marksman Stephen Wallace.

The Stars General Manager Allen Flavell knows that Sutton are capable of more than they have shown this season:

“Following on from their play-off qualification last season the Sting have made a very quiet start this year.

“On paper they have some serious fire power up front, it may be that they are lacking at the back but it should make for a good game as we have one of, if not the strongest defence in the league.

“We have Solway breathing down our necks with games in hand, they have two games this weekend and could jump above us in the league, so it’s vital that we take both points against Sutton.”

Face off is 6.30pm and tckets can be bought from the box office from 5.30pm on game night priced at £7.50 adults, £5 concessions, £22 family [2+2].
