SCORING 23 with one throw is impossible in darts.

But not for Hartlepool darts ace Paul Jennings.

The Headland thrower has gained a sponsorship deal with local business Twenty3 Taxis which he hopes will help fulfil his dream of winning the world title.

Jenno, along with manager and pairs partner Kevin Hill, have been backed by Dave Hudson’s taxi company, whose name will be displayed on their shirts.

“It is fantastic for a local businessman to take an interest in what we are doing,” Hill told SportMail.

“It shows that the people of Hartlepool are proud of each other and support each other no matter what.

“It was an unexpected offer and it is great to have Dave on board so therefore we hope to repay the faith he has shown in us by wanting to be involved.

“There are a few more things in the pipeline for us to work with but for the time being we are more than grateful to the company.”
