NOT for the first time, Graeme Storm was today likely to have thoughts of “what might have been”.

The Hartlepool golfer earned his best pay day of 2012 when he collected a cheque for £17,500 after finishing equal 24th at the Ballantine’s Championship in South Korea.

It is not a position or prize to be sniffed at, but after being right near the top of the leaderboard at the halfway point at Icheon there will be a little frustration in the Storm camp this morning.

The 34-year-old led Richie Ramsey by one stroke at halfway only to finish eight shots adrift of the Scot who ended the tournament as runner up with £199,590 in his pocket.
