GRAEME Storm today made a sensational start at the BMW International to take the early clubhouse lead on six under par.

The Hartlepool golfer fired a super 66 at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof, near Cologne.

Storm was joined at the top by Denmark’s Anders Hansen who also signed for bogey-free 66.

Gary Stal and Andy Sullivan are alongside the pair in a tie for the lead, with the highlight of Frenchman Stal’s round an eagle at the ninth.

Storm, who told SportMail this week of his desire for a good finish in Germany, rattled in six birdies, at the second, ninth, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th holes.

He covered the back nine in only 32 (four under) for a total of 66.
