JEMMA Lowe clinched her second medal at the European Short Course Championship in Denmark when she finished second in the 100 metres butterfly final.

The 23-year-old took bronze in the 200 metres butterfly on Thursday night but on Sunday evening she went one place better.

J Lo produced a storming final length in Herning to clock 56.32 seconds behind Sweden’s world champion Sarah Sjostrom (55.78) but she claimed the scalp of Denmark favorite Jeanette Otteson (56.42).

For Hartlepool swimmer Jemma, who is based at the University of Bath, it was a Personal Best as she lowered her Welsh record.

Lowe just missed out on another medal in the 4x50metres relay, the GB ladies team finishing fourth in 1 minute 46.56 seconds.

Middlesbrough swimmer Aimee Willmott continued her record-breaking form as she clinched bronze from the 400m individual medley final.

The 20-year-old, who broke her long-course national marker seven days ago, set an English record 4:25.37 to reach the podium behind Spain’s Mireia Belmonte Garcia (4:21.23) and Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu (4:24.69), while Great Britain’s Hannah Miley finished fourth, touching in 4:28.56.
