DARTS ace Paul Jennings recovered from his Lakeside World Championship disappointment with a semi final appearance at the weekend in the BDO’s newest tournament.

Headlander Jenno made a first round exit at last month’s Lakeside but took home a handsome £5,000 in Blackpool on Sunday after reaching the last four in the BDO Daily Mirror World Trophy.

Set over four days, the organisation’s newest televised tournament saw Jennings play James Wilson in the semis with close friend Ross Montgomery awaiting the winner in the final.

The game was tied at 2-2 when Wilson turned up the heat, hitting 20 tons, seven 180s and his terrific average of over 96 giving him a 9-2 win.

Wilson went onto beat Montgomery in the final.
