HARTLEPOOL golfer Graeme Storm is six shots off the lead after the opening round of the BMW International Open in Germany.
The 33-year-old was one of the first players to tee off at the Munich venue and enjoyed a steady start, parring the first three holes before birdieing at the fourth.
A bogey at the next was soon rectified with another birdie on the sixth and Storm was within touching distance of the leading pack.
However, as his rivals began to sink birdie after birdie during the remaining holes, the Hartlepool Golf Club member gained just one more shot to card a two-under for the round.
That leaves him six behind leader Henrik Stenson, the Swede storming clear as he birdied four of the last eight holes.
