TEAM COPE: From left: Peter Cope Jnr, Peter Cope Snr (Junior's father and trainer) and Greg O'Neil, who has just turned pro.

PETER Cope “can’t wait” to take to the Borough Hall ring on Sunday and forecast a Gus Robinson Developments double with debutant Greg O’Neil.

Cope will box over six rounds for the first time when he meets Bulgaria’s Fikret Remziev while O’Neil takes on Chris Jenkinson, from Bolton.

Featherweight prospect Cope has reeled off four straight wins in a bright pro career and is a very warm favourite to make it five.

“I can’t wait for Sunday,” said the 20-year-old.

“I have watched a bit of Remziev on the internet and from what clips I’ve managed to find of him he looks cute.

“But I feel great and confident that he won’t be able to look cute against me.

“I’m just looking for a good performance and I’d love to put a bit of a show on.

“I’ve been wanting to do six rounds for ages – I’d love to do eight and 10, the longer the better in fact.

“But I’m happy it’s six and I’m just looking forward to getting in and performing.”
