Schools of excellence

HUNDREDS of young footballers gathered in the Borough Hall last night for the annual Hartlepool Primary Schools Presentation Evening.

Town-born Hartlepool United stars Adam Boyd and John Brackstone were on hand to present the awards to the many teams and individuals who have excelled over the past season.

There were trophies for the many cup and league winners and runners-up as well as presentation to the town team and sportsmanship awards.

Awards

Girls seven-a-side trophy: Winners, Lynnfield. Melissa Hodge, Charlie Hilditch, Adele Marshall, Brooklyn Cussins, Demi Belcher, Sophie Gibson, Katie Ord, Shari Boagey, Ashleigh Robinson and Zoe Lee. Runners-up, Jesmond Road. Caroline Huntley, Sophie Barclay, Gemma Robson, Shelby Whitelock, Stephanie Armstrong, Sam-Amy Kidson, Lauren Harll, Katie Gray and Jade Baker.
