Ward Jackson Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza

THERE’S fun guaranteed for all the family at Ward Jackson Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza this weekend.

Residents are invited to join the Friends of Ward Jackson Park for a feast of springtime fun.

Fairground rides, an Easter egg trail and craft workshops are just some of the activities taking place at the park this Sunday, April 20 from 1pm-4pm.

A new picnic area will be officially unveiled during the event while formed Great Britain boxer Amanda Coulson will be making a VIP appearance.

Refreshments will also be on offer throughout the afternoon.

Kay Briggs, press officer for the Friends of Ward Jackson Park, who have organised this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza, said: “Everything is in place and it’s all set to be an absolutely fantastic day.

“We’ve got activities, events and games planned for all the family, all we need now is for the weather to be kind to us.

“We’re all really looking forward to it, it should be a brilliant afternoon.”

Youngsters will also get chance to meet the Easter Bunny in the park while prize draws and other competitions will also play a part in the fun event.
