A HARTLEPOOL academy is preparing for its spectacular Christmas show.
The Michelle Brown Academy of Dance & Theatre Arts (MBA) will stage the production on Sunday, December 21.
It runs from 1.30pm at Manor College of Technology in Owton Manor Lane in Hartlepool.
Academy owner Michelle Brown said: “It’s the first ever time on stage for the majority of the pupils and I could not be more proud of how hard they have worked and how they have progressed over recent months.
“I am extremely excited to see them take to the stage in their very first ever performance.”
Tickets are £5.50 and they are still available from Michelle. MBA is based in Tower Street in Hartlepool.
Michelle reflected on what has been a hugely promising 12 months for her academy and her students.
She added: “It’s also been a very successful year for MBA with Georgia Burrows winning the Hartlepool Music Festival with her outstanding vocal performance of Somewhere That’s Green. Her vocal ability is extremely advanced for the age of 11 and she has a very bright future ahead of her.”
Michelle also praised five-year-old Nancy Rowbotham who “has continued to shine over recent months, being acknowledged for her talent on stage.”
Mention also went to MNA student Maizie Hunter who is ten years old. Michelle said Maizie has become a regular award winner and added: “She has done it again.”
She said Maizie took third place in a junior song and dance championship and also went on to win third place in a cabaret competition last weekend.
“The future is looking very bright for our MBA family and I am extremely excited for 2015 as the first year of the school has been bigger and better than I could possibly have dreamed of. We will be welcoming new students in the new year.”
