A NEW mum has got back into her dancing career in style.
Hartlepool woman Adele Jang Don and her South Korean husband, Jang SeHyoung Don took a break from all competition last year while the couple became parents for the first time.
But now, as well as celebrating the joys of parenthood, the couple have another reason to smile.
They have been chosen to represent England for the European Professional Classical Showdance competition.
The pair will also represent the country in the World Professional Classical Showdance competition.
Delighted Adele said: “We are very excited. The Europeans will be held in September in Germany and the Worlds will be the week before the British National Championships.”
It’s been a whirlwind 12 months for the couple who became parents to their first child Sung Hee Jang late last year.
Adele added: “We were the British Professional Showdance champions just before we had our first baby and now, to come back to the dance floor and be chosen to represent England, we are very excited and determined.”
The couple had to miss all of last year’s championships because of Adele’s pregnancy and birth. It meant they could not compete in six of the biggest events in the dancing world.
But Adele believes it was all worth it after becoming a mum for the first time.
She said: “He is now seven months old and cannot sit still. He definitely has the dancing bug but we hope he won’t dance.
“We would like him to take up tae kwon do to follow his Korean roots.”
Dance Fever has previously told how the couple became television stars in Jang’s homeland of South Korea.
They appeared in the country’s version of This Morning and have also appeared in an award-winning Korean documentary about their marriage and dancing partnership.
Afterwards, they were asked to become advocates of the TaeKwonDo Association in CheonJiWon, South Korea.
Adele was also awarded 5th dan black belt and made director of education while her husband was awarded 7th dan black belt, a grand master and made vice-president.
