A Hartlepool dance school is putting together a show filled with different styles of performing.

And the packed display, which is due to take place next week, will help the school raise money for a festival which is due to be held in the town later this year.

All the kids are so excited to perform and for most will be their first time in a stage show.

The On Your Toes school of dance, which is run by Jade Cook and is based in Thomlinson Road, will put on a show on Friday, June 12.

It will be held from 7pm in the Owton Manor Social Club.

Jade told Dance Fever she was looking forward to the display.

She added: “The show is to aid in the raising of funds to essentially pay for the students to enter a dance festival being held in September at Flamingo Land.”

The students are putting their hearts into the performance, which is a mix of all styles of performing, to make sure it is a success.

Jade added: “We have been rehearsing for five weeks and will be putting on show-stopping performances of different genres of dance including lyrical, street, commercial, freestyle and Acro.”

It is going to be a new experience for many of the students who are based at On Your Toes and have never appeared in front of a public audience before.

Jade explained: “All the kids are so excited to perform and for most will be their first time in a stage show.”

Tickets are still available for the Shall We Dance show and Jade added: “We are hoping to sell them before the night of the show.

“The night will also include bingo, raffle, tombola and much more.”

Backers have already come forward to help make the evening a success but more would be welcome.

Jade added: “We have had generous donation towards our raffle from the Pot House on the Headland and Stephanie’s cafe-bar-shoppe on Church Street and would welcome more from other local businesses.”

Tickets for the show, which is called Shall We Dance, are £5 each.

Jade is no stranger to the world of performing.

Teaching dance had been a lifelong ambition for keen dancer Jade, 28, who has been performing since she was three.

On Your Toes is a studio which provides dance training for girls and boys from the age of two upwards in the Hartlepool area.

It is now based in Units 6/7 at Enterprise House, which is in Thomlinson Road in Hartlepool.

People wanting tickets for Shall We Dance can get them by calling into the On Your Toes studio.
