A Hartlepool entrepreneur has designs on success after her lingerie brand became an international hit.
Michelle Taylor Ward, who owns and runs luxury lingerie firm Tallulah Love, is a hit in New York and Paris as well as closer to home.
Michelle, who first came to success when she won the Hartlepool Mail-backed If We Can, You Can competition in 2009, is in demand.
Tallulah Love’s latest lines have had showcases at Mode City in Paris, Curve in New York and Moda in Birmingham this year.
The product is just as popular in the UK and particularly in the North East.
Closer to home, it is also being stocked in a major store in Newcastle.

Company founder and creative director Michelle added: “We’re so excited to be on the shelves of Fenwick Newcastle! With its reputation for high-fashion luxury it’s a natural fit for Tallulah Love, especially as we’re on the doorstep.”
Tallulah Love is now sold in countries across the world including the UK, USA, Canada, Japan and across western Europe.
Michelle’s success has all happened in little over a decade.
Michelle spent five years at Playboy. In 2009 she left to set up her own business and explained more about the aims of her designer brand.
“Sometimes we want to express our feminine, playful side; at others, we want to be very much in charge; but however we feel, beautiful underwear is a reminder not to take life too seriously.”
Michelle’s prize for winning the If We Can, You Can town heat was to be crowned the Hartlepool Mail’s Face of Entrepreneurship.
But it is not her only success.
She also won the UK Trade and Investment’s Passport to Export Award in 2012 for her accomplishments in France and Italy.
In 2010, her firm was voted the number one new brand to see at the Le Salon International de la Lingerie show in Paris.
And in November 2011, Tallulah Love won the Best New Business at the North East Women into the Network Awards.
Michelle has also been a finalist in the UK Lingerie Awards, and runner-up in the Best International Business Woman competition.
