A DANCE school is on the lookout for former students to get back on the stage for a spectacular 25th anniversary performance.
The Karen Liddle School of Dance will put on a show called Now That’s What We Call 25 Years.
It will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, which is in Raby Road in Hartlepool, and will be staged from February 18 to February 20 next year.
Dance school owner Karen said: “We are asking for ex-students of the dance school to get in touch. We have had our first rehearsals for the show and we shall keep on having rehearsals every Monday.”
Training sessions will be held at the Northern Lights Academy which is in King Oswy Drive in Hartlepool.
Karen added: “We have tried ourselves to get in touch with quite a few of our former students and we have got about two dozen so far.”
Karen’s hope is to get as many former students as possible to star in a finale to the show. They will perform a number called One which is from the show Chorus Line.
Performances will be held each night from 6.45pm and tickets are on sale at £7.50 for adults and £6.50 for children and those on concessions.
Family tickets, for two adults and two children, are also available for £25.
They can be bought from Karen on 07867 723513.
She said: “It is surprising how quickly words get around and we have already had quite a response so far, but there will still be former students who have married and moved away, people who are living out of town.”
As well as inviting people to join in with the finale performance, Karen also wants people to attend a reunion.
It will be held on February 28 next year at the Owton Manor Social Club. Karen said: “We want past and present students to come along for a 25th anniversary celebration.”
