A DANCE festival is off to a flying start and there is still a chance to watch the action.
The annual British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) Festival began on Monday at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, and will continue until tomorrow.
Hundreds of students from dance schools in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough have put their names forward.
And with 1,000 entries to consider, it means competition is lasting until around 10pm each day.
Categories in the festival include tap, ballet, and modern dance as well as sections for character, song and dance, national and acro.
Dancers will compete as solos, duets, trios as well as groups, and the public are welcome to go along and watch all the action.
Admission fee for the public to watch the competition is £5 for adults and £4 for children and OAPs. The fee is payable on the door.
l Watch out for more photographs of the action in our Dance Fever section this Saturday.
