A MAJOR dance festival, featuring hundreds of competitors from across the North-East, is continuing in Hartlepool over the weekend after a busy few days of performances.
The annual Hartlepool Dance Festival started on Monday and runs until Sunday, at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road.
Healthy crowds have been in attendance so far, and more are expected over the next couple of days to show support to the competitors.
Photographers from the Harlepool Mail have been on hand to capture the performances with representatives of eight dance schools from across the North-East taking part.
Schools from Newcastle, South Shields, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool are all represented.
Competition will be held from 9am to 9pm on each of the days, and the public are welcome to give their support.
Admission is £5 a day for adults or £4 a day for children and senior citizens.
Those interested in going along to watch the dancers can pay on the door.
If you miss the competition, or would like a permanent reminder of the incredible level of dancing talent on show at the event, all the photographs the Mail takes will be available to buy – anyone interested should log on to our website at www.northeastpress.newsprints.co.uk.
